PS Nurse Practitioner (Fellowship)
Job Summary
NOTE: This posting is for the Year 1 of a 2-year Fellowship Training Program within the Interventional Radiology Department. Advancement to Year 2 is contingent upon successful completion of Year 1.
This program is currently looking to fill 1 opening for an APC/APP position for someone who is interested in developing and expanding their medical expertise on top of their license(s).
This would be filled by either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Fellowship Summary
This immersive fellowship provides structured clinical training, progressive procedural experience, and comprehensive didactic education aligned with the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) APP Core Curriculum.
Year 1 - IR APC/APP Fellowship Curriculum
- Clinical training on Core IR Service
- Required rotations in Medical and Surgical ICUs (4 weeks total)
- Call shifts as determined by rotation
- Didactic curriculum covering IR fundamentals, vascular access, hepatobiliary disease, embolization, oncology, neurovascular, musculoskeletal, lymphatic interventions, and radiation safety
- Scholarly activities including monthly journal club, case conferences, simulation, and core lectures
Year 2 - IR APC/APP Instructor Curriculum
- Increasing independence with educational oversight
- Independent consult management, peri- and post-procedural care, credentialed procedures
- Teaching responsibilities
- Six elective rotations (e.g., vascular ultrasound, neuro-vascular, oncology, GI/hepatology, transplant surgery, trauma surgery, pediatric IR)
Appointment & Benefits
- Year 1: $85,000 salary with full benefits
- Year 2: Compensation per APC/APP salary grid
Minimum Qualifications
Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Utah. Master's degree in Nursing or equivalency and national certification required.
