"PSY AY 26/27 Tenure-Track Professor of Psychology in Developmental Neuroscience"

The Department of Psychology at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position (open rank; Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor) in the area of human developmental neuroscience to begin in the Fall of 2026. While the area of specialization within human development is open, the successful candidate will capitalize on Notre Dame's strategic investments that support neuroscientific approaches to studying human behavior. Among these investments is a new research-dedicated human neuroimaging center. This center is designed to facilitate and support collaborative, multi-method, and interdisciplinary research across all areas within the department (clinical, cognitive, developmental, and quantitative psychology). It includes a 3T Siemens Magnetom Cima X fMRI system, a mock scanner, separate dedicated research spaces for TMS, EEG, and neuropsychological testing, as well as access to a BSL2-level lab for the acquisition/storage of biological samples. Additionally, the center is co-located with the Veldman Family Psychology Clinic, the Shaw Center for Children and Families, the Notre Dame Psychological Services Center, and several community-facing research labs.

The successful applicant will be expected to develop and maintain an impactful and externally fundable research program, supervise and mentor undergraduate and doctoral research including theses and dissertations, and teach courses at the undergraduate and doctoral levels.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Psychology or related field
