The Department of Psychological Sciences at Metropolitan State University of Denver invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions. Qualified applicants will be considered for departmental teaching needs for both in-person and online courses.
Responsibilities: An affiliate faculty member's duties include teaching assigned classes in person or online, preparing course materials and lesson plans, grading student work, providing feedback, addressing student questions, and providing academic support. Instruction must align with course syllabus and department policies. Candidates should adapt to new modes of instruction and be sensitive to the needs of a diverse student population.
Required Qualifications: Master's in psychology, a related field, or enrollment in a doctoral program in psychology.
Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral candidate in psychology with dissertation complete or pending, Ph.D. in psychology, and teaching experience in undergraduate psychology courses including clinical/counseling, developmental/family studies, cognitive/biological/experimental, and social.
Terms of Employment: Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired on a per credit hour basis, typically semester-by-semester. They are not eligible for benefits and must teach in person/on campus depending on the course.
