Psychologist
The West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry in the WVU School of Medicine seek a Psychologist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of Clinical Psychology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will have teaching and supervision expectations within our well-known, training-focused APA-accredited clinical psychology internships and fellowships. Additional teaching opportunities exist with medical students and residents within the department and broader Health Sciences Center on topics relevant to psychology.
This position will provide trauma-informed, evidence-based outpatient assessment and intervention for adult patients with PTSD/cPTSD and co-occuring medical/ psychological conditions including but not limited to pain, functional disorders, eating concerns, and health anxiety.
Qualifications: Applicants must have a PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology from an APA/CPA-accredited graduate program with an APA/CPA-approved internship and be immediately eligible for state licensure. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, Board Certification (ABPP) as well as a demonstrated track-record of leadership, clinical and teaching excellence and scholarly activity are required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
