Role Description

The PsyD Program Chair/Director is a full-time, on-site role located in
Greater St. Louis, responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and continuous improvement of the PsyD program. This program
falls under the School of Brain and Behavioral Sciences (SBBS). This position oversees curriculum design and review, ensures alignment with
accreditation standards, and collaborates with faculty on the development and delivery of high-quality courses and clinical training
experiences. The Program Chair/Director manages student advising processes, supports student progression and success, and participates in
recruitment, admissions, and orientation activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising and mentoring faculty, coordinating
program assessment and outcomes tracking, managing program budgets and resources, and preparing required reports for institutional and
accrediting bodies. The role also involves teaching within the PsyD program, fostering a culture of ethical practice and scholarly inquiry,
and engaging with community partners to support practicum and internship placements. This position also includes some teaching and
instruction of PsyD students. This position reports to the Dean of the SBBS.

Qualifications

• Doctoral
  degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (PsyD or PhD) from an APA-accredited program; eligibility for or possession of licensure as a
  psychologist in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated experience in academic leadership (e.g., program director, department
  chair, or comparable role) within graduate psychology or related health sciences education.
• Strong background in curriculum
  development, program assessment, and familiarity with accreditation standards and processes for professional psychology programs.
• Evidence of effective teaching at the graduate level, with experience supervising clinical training, practicum, or internship
  placements.
• Track record of scholarly or professional activity, such as research, publications, presentations, or contributions to
  the professional psychology community.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
  collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and community partners.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to training
  culturally responsive, ethically grounded healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work on-site in Greater St. Louis and engage in
  university, community, and professional service activities as part of the role.
