Description

Foothill-De Anza Community College District is establishing a pool of qualified applicants for this position. Applications will be accepted continuously until otherwise noted. Applications will remain on file for two years from date received or last submitted.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE:

• Standard duties expected of all part-time faculty include the performance of instructional, counselor, or librarian duties as assigned; evaluation and assessment of student work; and timely submission of grades.
• Teach apprenticeship, journeyman and/or pre-apprenticeship courses.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty and staff.
• Minimum Qualifications for this position as defined in the Minimum Qualifications for Apprenticeship Instructors (teaching credit courses) in California Community Colleges, Section 53413.
• Possession of an associate degree, plus four years of occupational experience in the subject matter area to be taught; or,
• Six years of occupational experience, a journeyman's certificate in the subject matter area to be taught, and completion of at least eighteen (18) semester units of degree applicable college level course work, in addition to apprenticeship credits.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possession of an Associate degree, plus four years of occupational experience in the subject matter area to be taught.
