PT Duplicating/Mail Specialist
Summary
Operates high-speed duplicating equipment, finishes printed work, sorts and distributes incoming mail, processes all types of outgoing mail, stocks paper and supply shelves, and performs routine jobs under the general supervision of the Academic Services Support Supervisor. Individual is responsible for coordinating the daily work of the duplicating/mail center.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates high-speed duplicating equipment and produces quality copies.
- Processes all types of internal mail, USPS mail, UPS, and any associated forms.
- Operates two high-speed copiers simultaneously for short periods of time.
- Answers various counter and telephone requests.
- Performs daily/weekly maintenance routine on CPS equipment.
- Maintains and assures confidentiality of all documents.
- Operates various types of mailroom and duplicating equipment.
- Serves as a backup to communicate to vendors, create requisitions, and place orders.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certifications/Clearances
Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting)
Work Experience
Three or more years of general office, duplicating, and mail experience. Ability to meet deadlines and work in a stressful environment.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Ability to work independently as a team member with limited supervision. Must have good organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow written guidelines and direction. Must possess a high level of the following work skills and behaviors: teamwork, cooperation, initiative, customer service, high level of accuracy, analytical and problem solving skills, excellent organizational, written and oral skills, ability to work in an office with frequent interruptions and commitment to continuous professional growth in skills and knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree in Office Technology or related field from an accredited institution. One to three years duplicating experience.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate with many copying and duplicating machines running.
