PT Inst of Sociology + Anthropology
The Department of Sociology & Anthropology at Ohio Wesleyan University is looking for one or more part-time instructors with expertise in criminology or criminal justice to teach one or more of the following courses in the fall 2026 semester:
- Law and Society (Mon/Wed/Fri at 9:00-9:50)
- Treatment Methods & Crisis Interventions (Mon/Wed/Fri at 1:10-2:00)
- Crime and the Media (Mon/Wed 2:10-3:30)
If a candidate is interested, there may be opportunities to teach additional courses in the Spring 2027 semester (including introductory or upper-level electives in the candidate’s area of expertise).
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Sociology, Anthropology, Criminology, or a related field. Doctoral candidates will also be considered. Experience teaching Sociology, Anthropology, or Criminology courses at the undergraduate level is expected. Candidates may apply to teach one course or multiple courses.
Given that Ohio Wesleyan is a residential, liberal arts institution, all classes are taught in-person. We do not offer online courses during spring and fall semesters.
The compensation is $5,000 per course.
