Summary of Function: Provides comprehensive support to the Outreach and Recruitment departments by actively contributing to admissions operations, outreach programming, and recruitment strategies. Upholds Arizona Western College's mission by serving as a trusted, student-centered representative delivering accurate information, responsive services, and meaningful engagement to prospective students and the broader community.
Typical Duties:
- Serves Students. Actively promotes the college by visiting local area high schools on a weekly basis. Visits may include classroom presentations, small group discussions, virtual presentations, and individual appointments with students.
- Assists in managing campus tour schedule and conducts individual and group campus visits, including assembly of information and giveaway packets.
- Inputs incoming prospective student information requests into the Recruit database. Compiles and mails out requested information and materials.
- Supports the AWC admission process, collects and processes admissions documents, and responds to admission office correspondence via department email inbox.
- Represents the college by participating in recruiting events such as college and community fairs, campus events, high school senior days, AWC enrollment tours, and early college days.
- Assists the Director with the coordination of the Matador Ambassador Program, including pre-semester training, monthly leadership seminars, and communication with student ambassadors regarding events and activities.
- Supports and participates in strategic planning initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A combination of higher education coursework and prior experience in engaging with high school and/or college students within Yuma/La Paz Counties
- Applicants may indicate any additional language proficiencies in their application materials, including English/Spanish, as relevant to the position
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
- Arizona Driver's License or Equivalent

- Up to 19 hours per week
- Work flexible schedule to meet the program, department, and/or institutional needs, which may include Fridays, nights, and/or weekends
