QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

(Applicants must meet one of the following):
- Possess from an accredited institution: Master's in English, literature, comparative literature, or composition OR Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in linguistics, TESL, speech, education with a specialization in reading, creative writing or journalism OR
- Possess a valid California Community College credential, OR
- The equivalent...
- Equivalencies that the Department accepts as valid: "MFA or MA in professional writing and a bachelor's degree in English, literature, comparative literature, or composition."

Additional Qualifications

- Experience in teaching students from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds...
