PT Women's Water Polo Coach
PART-TIME WOMEN'S WATER POLO COACH
Foothill-De Anza Community College District is establishing a pool of qualified applicants for this position. Applications will be accepted continuously until otherwise noted. Applications will remain on file for two years from date received or last submitted.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE:
- Standard duties expected of all part-time faculty include the performance of instructional, counselor, or librarian duties as assigned; evaluation and assessment of student work; and timely submission of grades. In addition, part-time faculty are expected to participate in the assessment of their performance, including administrative and student evaluations.
- Coach intercollegiate women's water polo. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide the organization, direction, and administration of the Women's Water Polo Program. Perform coaching duties at practices and contests. Preparation and management for home meets. Recruit student-athletes from the college's recruiting areas. Schedule contests, arrange transportation, and manage the budget. Stay current on all Division, District, Conference and Commission on Athletics rules and policies. Develop an off-season conditioning and strength program that monitors the progress of the student-athletes. Assist with all De Anza College Physical Education and Athletic Division fundraising events. Work effectively with the Athletic Trainers, Academic Advisor, Equipment Manager(s) and others in the Department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty and staff.
- Minimum Qualifications for this position as defined in the Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges.
