Key Job Responsibilities:- Coordinates with staff in ECE and other departments on planning and executing outreach initiatives related to quantum science
- Develops and implements operating policies and procedures to promote the outreach program in alignment with the strategic plan
- Monitors the unit or program budget and approves program expenditures
- Reviews recommendations for and provides input on the design and development of new outreach programs or services
- Determines outreach program needs and the personnel resource allocation plan
- May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees
- Supervises the implementation of outreach-program-focused strategic planning initiatives and objectives

Compensation:The starting salary for the position is $65,000, but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Required Qualifications:- Science outreach experience, such as volunteering or professional work in K-12 education, science fairs, or museums exhibits.
Preferred Qualifications:- Demonstrated ability to translate physical science concepts into engaging, hands-on, and/ or inquiry-based demos and lessons for K-12 students and the general public
- Education and/or professional experience in the physical sciences, especially quantum science and technology
Education:Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field required; STEM Degree in the physical sciences, electrical and computer engineering, or related field preferred
