Position Summary
The faculty member shall be responsible for the following:
coordination of instructional programs and/or teaching assigned
classes under the supervision of the area dean; helping students
fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content;
assessing student learning outcomes; maintaining a thorough and
up-to-date knowledge in their regular teaching field; continuing
professional development; utilizing current technology in the
performance of job duties; maintaining standards of professional
conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position;
assisting with articulation and curriculum development and review;
serving on college committees and participating in faculty
governance including accreditation and student co-curricular
activities; assuming other responsibilities as assigned by the area
dean; fulfilling other duties and responsibilities of a full-time
faculty member.
The proportion of duties assigned to both roles shall be determined
by student, department, and program needs and may range from 0% to
100% for either function.
Position Salary Information:
Initial maximum salary placement is based on academic degree,
upper/graduate level units earned, and/or related professional
occupational experience per the
Los Rios College Federation of Teachers
Contract (the initial maximum placement is Class V, Step

Typical Duties
The coordinator assignment may include, but is not limited
to:
- Providing leadership and direction in the development,
administration, and continuous improvement of the Radiologic
Technology Program’s master plan of education, ensuring the program
produces highly skilled Radiologic Technologists who will assist
physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of critically ill
patients.
Delivering high-quality instruction by preparing and teaching
courses each semester, maintaining a dynamic learning environment
that meets the evolving needs of students and the healthcare
industry.
Leading regular program and faculty meetings to foster
collaboration, communication, and program excellence.
Developing and implementing a comprehensive assessment plan to
evaluate and enhance the program’s effectiveness, ensuring that
goals and objectives are consistently met.
Evaluating student learning outcomes at course, programmatic,
and institutional levels, using data to inform improvements and
innovations in curriculum and instruction.
Coordinating radiation monitoring records with the Clinical
Coordinator to ensure compliance with safety protocols and
regulatory standards.
Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, program
outcomes, and effectiveness data, maintaining the Program’s
accreditation status.
Upholding all safety regulations, particularly radiation safety
protocols, and ensuring the Program’s adherence to all regulatory
and accreditation standards.
Continuously reviewing and updating the Radiologic Technology
Program’s curriculum to reflect changes in technology, industry
standards, and educational best practices.
Providing oversight for the maintenance, calibration, and
functionality of all Program equipment, ensuring an optimal
learning environment.
Working with regulatory and accreditation bodies to maintain
compliance and uphold the Program’s integrity and reputation.
Collaborating with faculty and the Clinical Coordinator to
ensure students receive quality clinical experiences that prepare
them for professional practice.
Developing, implementing, and continuously refining the
Program’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives to align with the
College and University’s strategic priorities.
Managing and overseeing the workload distribution among Program
faculty, ensuring a balanced and effective use of faculty expertise
and time.
Conducting annual performance reviews and setting clear goals
for faculty and affiliated personnel, fostering professional growth
and program excellence.
Leading recruitment and retention efforts to attract highly
qualified faculty, personnel, and students who are committed to
advancing the field of radiologic technology.
Supporting curricular and programmatic initiatives, such as
interprofessional education, that enhance the educational
experience and broaden student competencies.
Ensuring that all Program, College, and University policies and
procedures are upheld, contributing to a culture of accountability
and excellence.
Performing other duties as assigned by the Dean to support the
ongoing success and growth of the Program.

Minimum Qualifications
- Have a bachelor’s degree AND two years of occupational and/or
professional experience directly related to the teaching
assignment, OR have an associate’s degree AND six years of
occupational and/or professional experience directly related to the
teaching assignment; OR, the equivalent. All degrees must be
from an accredited institution and completed by date of hire.
- Hold a current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
(AART) certification and registration or the equivalent*, in
radiography. NOTE: *Equivalent: an unrestricted state
license for the state in which the program is located.
- Have an equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to
and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural,
disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic
backgrounds of community college students, including those with
physical or learning disabilities as it relates to differences in
learning styles; and successfully foster and support an inclusive
educational and employment environment.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Degree titles must match the stated qualifications
exactly (word-for-word).
- If the degree title differs, or if it contains added, missing,
or rearranged words, applicants must submit a completed
Equivalency Determination Request Form for the application to be
considered. See the Equivalency Determination Process webpage for
details.
- Example : If a master’s in Psychology is
required but your transcript lists Counseling Psychology, and that
title is not listed in the Minimum Qualifications, an Equivalency
Determination Request Form must be submitted.
- Previously granted equivalency in the discipline applying for

Transcript Requirements:
- Transcripts must be from an accredited U.S. institution
or approved foreign evaluation agency.
- Foreign transcripts are not accepted . For
coursework and degrees completed outside the U.S., upload a foreign
transcript evaluation.
- Foreign transcript evaluations must be issued by an
AICE (Association of International Credential
Evaluation, Inc.) or NACES (National Association of Credential
Evaluation Services) member agency. See the Foreign Transcript Evaluation webpage for
details.
- If more than one degree is required to meet the Minimum
Qualifications (e.g., a bachelor’s and a master’s), separate
transcripts for each degree must be included
.
- Transcripts must clearly identify the institution's
name, degree title, major and/or certifications. Highlight or
circle this information.
- Transcripts must indicate whether each degree is
completed (confer date) or in progress .
- If the degree is in progress, the application must state
the month and year the degree is expected to be attained.
- Only official or unofficial transcripts are accepted to verify
education. Graduate advising documents, grade reports, course
listings, diplomas, and similar materials will not be
accepted in place of transcripts.
