Receptionist [Temporary Cover]

Cambridge Judge Business School (CJBS) leverages the power of academia for real world impact to transform individuals, organisations and society. Since 1990, Cambridge Judge has forged a reputation as a centre of rigorous thinking and high-impact transformative education, situated within one of the world's most prestigious research universities, and in the heart of the Cambridge Cluster, the most successful technology entrepreneurship cluster in Europe.

Our reception team is often the first point of contact for staff, students and visitors (either in person or on the telephone), and as such is of central importance to the image that CJBS presents. The role holder needs to actively engage with the Schools' clients, students, programme participants and visitors to deliver the best customer experience. Our reception team is professional, courteous, presentable, friendly, attentive, and efficient and prides itself on excellent customer service.

The receptionist team forms part of the wider facilities team, which is largely responsible for the smooth running of the School and its internal and externally focused activities.

Duties will include receiving visitors to the School including potential students, programme participants, the general public and distinguished guests, dealing with telephone enquiries, managing room bookings and providing general support to the wider School. Additionally, duties will include sorting and distributing incoming mail, processing outgoing mail and issuing room keys and access cards.

The successful candidate will have a good standard of general education and experience working in a customer-facing environment. They will be expected to be proactive in their approach to the role and possess a problem-solving mindset. We are looking for an individual who is ambitious, has excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. Computer literacy is a prerequisite for the role. Experience of working at a reception desk would be beneficial.

Temporary Cover: This role is available from October 2025 for a fixed-term period of 12 months (or the return of the post-holder, whichever is earlier) in order to provide maternity cover for the absent member of staff.
