Recorder (Reg FT)
General Summary
Performs complex duties for the campus records function, which includes maintaining official student records in accordance with FERPA and established policies and procedures.
Requirements
Education and Experience: Associate degree or equivalent and one year of related experience, preferably in business administration or related field.
Skills/Abilities Requirements: Ability to travel to perform work duties at any campus or center location within the CCAC system. Must be able to operate various office equipment, including a personal computer, and appropriate College software packages or equivalent. Should possess good organizational, customer service, communication, interpersonal and clerical skills. Detail oriented, ability to multi-task meet deadlines and be a team player. Required to have regular and timely attendance.
Duties
- Provides quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Troubleshoots, researches and verifies accuracy of student information including but not limited to registration, grading, GPA, social security numbers, medical withdrawals, academic transcripts, advanced standings and academic forgiveness.
- Develops & monitors exceptions report for each term to identify miscoding of student programs.
- Compiles statistics and prepares related reports in connection with attendance/census, grading and student programs.
- Maintains all current academic student records and processes outdated files for storage.
- Investigates and timely responds to student inquiries and requests.
- Assists with monitoring of student academic standing and probation/suspension.
- Processes degree and attendance verification via Clearinghouse.
- Perform all duties in accordance with applicable laws, collective bargaining agreements, board policies and administrative regulations and directives.
- Performs other clerical duties for specific/unique needs of the department.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Work Hours: Standard College hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm; Additional hours, including evening and weekend hours, may be needed to meet the needs of the department.
