The Improving Indigenous Health through Mentorship, Academics, Engagement and Innovation (IIMAGIN) is a three-year initiative, grant funded by the Wisconsin Partnership Program (WPP). IIMAGIN will focus on strengthening existing pre-college and college program pathways, in partnership with tribal communities and tribal colleges and universities. Additionally, the IIMAGIN grant will enhance opportunities for residents, fellows and faculty by expanding tribal clinic rotations and expand Indigenous health curriculum.

The Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator is a grant funded position by the IIMAGIN grant, which will be funded until December 2028, or dependent on funding renewal. This position will serve as a primary point of contact for project activities including: Visiting student opportunities (scholarship program for visiting medical student clinic rotations); engagement with various departments within SMPH and UW Health that support resident, faculty, fellow and trainee recruitment and engagement; resident and faculty engagement with NACHP activities.
