Job Title: Recruitment and Retention Specialist (grant-funded, part-time-temporary)
Department: TRiO/Upward Bound
Work Location: ALL SITES
Duties:
Under the supervision of the Director of the Upward Bound Project, the Recruitment and Retention Specialist is responsible for the recruitment and retention of the project's eligible participants. The Recruitment and Retention Specialist will be dedicated to the development and implementation of comprehensive strategies to attract new participants and improve the retention rates of current participants.
- Develop and execute a recruitment plan to meet recruitment goals.
- Build partnerships with high school administrators, counselors, staff and community organizations.
- Represent the project at recruitment fairs, community events, and school visits.
- Coordinate prospective participant events.
- Analyze retention data to identify trends.
- Plan and implement retention programming.
- Assist participants regarding academic standing, goal setting, and college/career planning.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required in education, psychology, public administration, social work or equivalent field.
- Experience in student recruitment, admissions, academic advising, or a similar student-facing role.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills for large groups.

Hours: MTWRF (Some Saturdays) 8:00 am-5:00 pm (Some evenings)
Salary/Wage: $23.05
