The Graduate School of Arts and Letters at Tohoku University invites female applicants for the following position.

Job Description
The successful candidate will engage in research and education related to Eastern and Japanese Art History from Ancient to Early Modern times, as well as other duties within the university. Specifically, the candidate will:
- Conduct empirical research on Buddhist art in any period from Ancient to Early Modern times, including its international dissemination.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and supervise students' dissertations.
- Serve on various committees within the university, including admissions.

Qualifications
- Candidates must possess or be expected to possess a doctoral degree and have distinguished achievements in one of the above-mentioned fields.
- Candidates must hold a curatorial qualification and be able to guide students in obtaining qualifications and pursuing employment in museums or art museums.
- Work experience (full-time position) in a museum or art museum is preferred.
