The mission of the University of North Carolina Wilmington Recycling Program is to provide waste diversion services, protect the environment, and promote sustainability initiatives in order to ensure a safe and healthy community for current and future generations. The goal of the program is to educate about the positive impacts they can make on the environment by reducing our waste while preserving both the beauty of our campus and the environment through recycling.

Brief Summary of Work for this Position:
The Recycling Technician supports the Recycling Services section and its efforts to reduce volumes of solid waste through diversion of materials from the solid waste stream.
Responsibilities include:
- Collect recyclable materials from designated areas throughout the campus according to established procedures and the North Carolina Waste Management Act.
