Hiring Wage/Salary Range
$100,000-$115,000

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in private college advancement is highly desirable with preference to those with a proven track record in garnering philanthropic support.
Education
A Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable skills have been acquired is required.

Physical Requirements
This position will require the ability to travel frequently for purposes that include meeting with constituents and staffing on-campus and off-campus events.
Other Information
Position provides for the opportunity to work remotely from CT, GA, MA, NJ, OH, PA, RI, VA, and NY without relocation. Work requires collaboration with other team members during standard business hours and will be required to report to our Hamilton, NY campus for meetings and events. It is expected that remote employees will attend on campus Division Meetings four times a year as well as staff Reunion yearly. It is expected that remote employees will make every effort to engage in the life of the university, which may include attending campus events such as homecoming, ACI weekend, family weekend and commencement. Remote arrangements such as this are reviewed annually and based on performance.

Department Statement

Accountabilities
Responsible for developing, cultivating and stewarding relationships with major gift prospects and donors as assigned to secure resources in support of Colgate's mission and campaign priorities and increase levels of engagement utilizing effective prospect qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies. Responsible for developing and executing strategies for solicitation that maximize the prospect's giving potential while aligning university priorities with donor intent.
Responsible for demonstrating respect for people and their differences, as well as the benefits of a diverse workforce, and the value of open and collegial dialogue.
Responsible for effectively accessing and navigating relevant technology systems used in advancement, and utilizing data as a resource in decision-making while maintaining respect for the security of private or confidential information. Responsible for developing strong working relationships with Office of Advancement colleagues, University administrators, faculty and staff to professionally address both opportunities and concerns.
Accountable for meeting performance metrics established by the Office of Advancement.
