Job Description
Position Overview
The Thompson Center is seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This innovative program provides short-term, high-frequency treatment for children and adolescents on the autism spectrum who engage in behaviors that significantly impact daily life.
Working under the close supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), RBTs in the IOP provide individualized, evidence-based interventions to promote safety, support communication and independence and support families across settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention and skill acquisition plans as designed by the supervising BCBA
- Manage and respond to challenging behavior using safe, and ethical procedures
- Collect accurate, real-time data on behaviors and skill development
- Support caregivers during training sessions and aid in the generalization of new skills
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment
- Prepare session materials and participate in daily team debriefings
- Uphold the dignity, safety, and well-being of clients at all times
Program Highlights
- Clients attend 3-hour sessions, 5 days a week, for approximately 16 weeks
- Services are delivered in-clinic
- Treatment is based on functional assessments and grounded in evidence-based practices (e.g., Functional Communication Training, Skill-Based Treatment)
- Sessions are structured and adapted to each individual’s learning style and needs
- Ongoing team collaboration, supervision, and professional development provided daily

Incentives
- $1,000 retention incentive awarded after successful completion of training
- Additional $1,000 incentive after one year of continuous employment in the IOP
Shift
Monday – Friday
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
One year experience in health management or program administration is required.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $14.00 - $21.18 hourly
Grade: PAT - 3A
