REGISTERED NURSE: Ambulatory Care Services (Decentralized Float Canton Health Center, Domino Farms Family Medicine, and Livonia Family Medicine)
Provide the delivery of culturally sensitive, age-specific team-based care models in delivering nursing care for Primary Care patients, including adult medicine, pediatric, and OB/GYN patient populations at Canton Health Center, Domino Farm’s, and Livonia ACU’s
Perform phone triage, including assessment, screening, clinical advice, nurse visits (in person/ video visit) in-clinic hands on procedures, and other duties assigned.
Accurate and efficient documentation of nursing care.
Knowledge and appropriate use of internal and external resources.
Provide functional supervision to assistive personnel; collaborate with colleagues, other disciplines, and health care/community services to promote continuity of care.

Demonstrated knowledge and skills providing patient and family education and coaching related to chronic conditions including, but not limited to, diabetes, asthma, and coronary artery disease.
Proficiency with typing and electronic health record documentation.
Ability to manage complex clinical issues utilizing assessment skills, protocols, and evidence-based interventions.
Willingness to adapt to different populations ie: pediatrics, OB/GYN, adult medicine as patient demands. Orientation and training would be provided for new subspecialties within primary care based on expansion of division.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan RN License
- Three (3) yrs. (out of the last 7 years) of RN experience in Adult Internal Medicine (to include Adult Inpatient or Emergency Services, or Ambulatory Care Medicine Adult)
- Must also have one of the following: One (1) year of OB/Gyn RN experience in Ambulatory Care, Labor and Delivery -OR- One (1) year of Pediatric RN experience

Desired Qualifications:
- BSN
- Certification in Ambulatory Nursing
- Ambulatory Phone Triage experience
- Experience working as a RN, providing care to Family Medicine patients.
- Experience working as a RN, providing care to OB patients in the ambulatory care setting.
- Experience working as a RN, providing care to pediatric patients in the ambulatory care setting.
Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position.
Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period.

Positions less than 20 hours/week may be combined.

Hours/Week: 32 hours/week
Shift/Hours/Days: Day Shift; Mon-Fri, (variable hours) Due to patient needs and volume demands, may work on weekends and holidays
Location: Domino Farms, Livonia, and Canton with potential to work in other locations with expansion of division.
Hours may be variable (nontraditional) based on clinic/patient/volume needs due to patient needs, volume demands.
NOTE: All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
