"REGISTERED NURSE: C&W Mott Childrens Hospital (PACU)"

Provide direct patient care to multiple pediatric populations (ICU, general care, and OP).

Maintain airway, vital signs, monitoring EKG, arterial lines, pain management (epidural and PCAs).

Provide patient/family education.

Provide patient and family centered care.

Collaborate with all members of the health care team to meet the complex care requirements and management of pediatric population.

Candidate must be highly motivated to provide excellent care and patient advocacy.

Care is inclusive of entire perioperative experience (pre-operative and post-op care, including discharge and phone triage).

On-call and weekend obligations.

Required Qualifications: Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan. Two (2) years of PACU RN experience, Level 1 Pediatric ED RN experience, or Pediatric ICU RN experience within the last three (3) years.

Preferred Qualifications: BSN Preferred. PALS and ACLS certification. CPAN/CAPA certified. Excellent communication and problem solving skills. Exemplify a positive, collaborative approach. Prior experience providing patient-family centered care.

This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C. Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire. Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level E.

Hours: 9:00am-7:30pm; 10-hour shifts; 30 hours per week

Shift: Day/Evening Rotation; weekend, on-call, and holiday obligations. Day shift times may vary based on unit needs, with evening shift rotation as needed.

Location: C&W Mott Hospital, PACU

Note: All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.
