This is a "multiple-fill" job opening:
A total of two (2) Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Registered Nurses will be hired to fill this job opening.
Hours & shifts are identical for all hires.

Duties
- Provide direct patient care to multiple surgical population (ICU, general care and OP).
- Maintain patient's airway, VS/I&O.
- Monitor EKG, arterial line, PA catheter, etc. Pain management (PCA and Epidural).
- Participate as a member of the collaborative health team.
- Provide patient/family education.
- Prepare unit for Pre-op patients (IV set-up review charts for H&P, consent, etc.).
- Provide direct care for pre-op & post-op patients.

Required Qualifications
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan.
- Recent RN experience in Preop/ Phase 1 recovery within the last two (2) years, cardiovascular experience preferred.
-OR- - Recent Adult Emergency Department RN experience within the last two (2) years.
-OR- - Recent Adult Surgical ICU RN experience within the last two (2) years.

Desired Qualifications
- BSN
- CPAN and CAPA certified.
- Recent experience in vascular, cardiac, thoracic IR and transplant services.
Salary & Nursing Framework Level
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position.

Work Schedule
Hours: 40 hours/week
Shift: Day/Evening rotator with variable start times. Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call shifts required. (45 minute call/response time)
Location: Cardiovascular Center- PACU
Note: All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.
