Summary

The Registered Nurse is a nurse who assumes responsibility and accountability for the delivery and management of patient care within the scope of practice. This position functions as part of the Occupational Health (OH) clinic and receives guidance and technical supervision from the Occupational Health Nurse Specialists (OHNS). The RN participates in the provision of health care, screening examinations, health counseling, medical record maintenance and other related services within the OH clinic.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school preparing Registered Nurses with current licensure from the Louisiana State Board to practice professional nursing upon date of hire.
• Two years’ experience working in a medical office or clinic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR or BLS Certification.
• Current, unencumbered Louisiana Registered Nursing license.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
