Serve as a circulating nurse during surgical procedures, or scrub nurse if needed.

Provide patient and family education regarding surgical procedures and recovery expectations.

Comply with ASC policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.

Assist the surgical team during procedures and respond to emergencies.

Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection prevention protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced. Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
• One (1) year of full-time general nursing care experience in an OR and/or PACU.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience preferred but not required for strong candidates with relevant surgical or procedural experience.
• Supplemental courses or continuing education credits in patient management and surgical techniques desirable.

• Work is performed in the private office setting and all clinical areas of the ASC.
• OSHA Category I - high exposure to blood/body fluids.
• Some risk of injury from equipment or patient movement.
• Exposure to hazardous chemicals; PPE required.
• Continuous multi-tasking skills required.
• Significant contact with staff/co-workers, students, residents, patients and their families, other employers, physicians, and their office staff, local hospital team members, and other members of the health care community.
