Registrar Assistant
Functional Purpose
Working with the NCED Registrar, plans and coordinates registrar office related activities to include maintaining, assigning, and reporting on training sessions and schedules. Resolves training-related questions, schedule changes, and new contractor training.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in all activities of a registrar (e.g., Fiscal Year training schedule, yearly course audit, National Training Operation schedule, housing) for a major training operation. Coordinates student and class registration (e.g., student enrollment, seat assignments, session creation) using the learning management system (LMS).
- Coordinates newly hired instructor onboarding and assigns required training.
- Assists with Reasonable Accommodations needs with students and/or managers prior to attending training to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Compiles and creates a variety of reports to provide the requested information required by various demographics and shares with stakeholders.
- Responds to emails or phone calls for requests and coordinates with training staff or support services to resolve student or stakeholder needs.
Job Requirements
Required Education
High School Diploma or GED
Skills
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple tasks and events simultaneously.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with postal employees and managers, contract staff and vendors.
- Knowledge of registrar activities related to admissions, fee collection, and coordination of student housing and services.
- Ability to communicate in writing to prepare correspondence, student records, certificates, and transcripts.
- Ability to use standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word) sufficient to develop deliverables (e.g., reports, presentations, documents) and graphically present data to diverse audiences.
- Bonus experience: Knowledge and experience of utilizing Learning Management System software. Knowledge and experience of a Registrar's office function or similar registration office environment.
