Registration Coordinator

Position Description Summary/Purpose :
This position assists with the daily operations of the Registrar's Office. The Registration Coordinator is responsible for setting up and managing the registration process each semester. This position requires confidentiality, a can-do attitude, and an exceptional work ethic.
Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities :
- Identify registration dates in alignment with the university calendar
- Establish registration schedules within the student database
- Conduct daily course reconciliations
- Manage the adding, swapping, dropping, and withdrawal of student courses and university withdrawals in accordance with Title IV regulations
- Process notifications for cancelled courses
- Oversee the prerequisite overrides process
- Prepare the annual prerequisite list
- Assist the Registrar and Assistant Registrar in the preparation for audits
- Manage waitlist notifications and facilitate student registration for waitlisted classes
- Support student registration for the Hartford Consortium
- Collaborate with academic departments as needed
- Assist with graduation tasks.
Other Functions
- Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation permits
- Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends
- Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.

- Ability to work independently, collaboratively and under tight deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of student records and related documents
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Microsoft Suite and student databases.
Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience in higher education, Title IV, or related field preferred.
