About the Role

As a Regulatory & Integrity Officer, you’ll help administer Swinburne’s core regulatory and integrity frameworks while supporting our Legal, Risk and Compliance function. A major focus of the role involves managing cases within our Complaints, Reviews, Appeals and Misconduct (CRAM) processes, ensuring matters are handled promptly, professionally and in line with our obligations.

You’ll also support important compliance areas such as Freedom of Information and Privacy, taking on requests, enquiries, and submissions as they arise. Working within a small and highly collaborative team, you’ll triage cases, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, operate key systems and databases, and provide high quality advice to staff across the University.

This role also plays a valuable part in strengthening Swinburne’s regulatory culture by contributing to training, resources, records management and initiatives that promote good practice across our student and service-oriented environment.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

  • Previous experience in relation to the compliance and regulatory fields relevant to the role.
  • Demonstrated ability to administer processes and systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret procedures and work instructions and relate them to the relevant tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems including adapting work practices.
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills including the ability to plan ahead, ability to work under pressure, prioritise multiple tasks and display thoroughness, sound judgment and attention to detail, with the ability to follow tasks through to completion.

Qualifications

Degree qualifications in relevant field with relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
