Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Supervisor in coordinating the daily operations, workflow, and productivity of the Special Billing Team and Joint Corrections Team to ensure departmental goals and service standards are achieved.
Candidate should have:
- Advanced knowledge of hospital and professional medical billing and revenue cycle operations.
- Comprehensive understanding of patient accounting, collections, denial management, and registration processes.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret reimbursement data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
- Experience developing policies, procedures, and training materials, including NAVEX documentation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to train, mentor, and provide technical leadership to staff while fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Proficiency with electronic billing systems, Microsoft Office applications, and reporting tools.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related/relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in health or business related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable and abilities can be acquired.
Credentials: Certified Procedural Coder. Three to four years of supervisory experience and directly related experience involving physician billing procedures
Niche Professional Interests: Be proficient in Microsoft office and preferred experience with Experian Contract Management.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $53,976 - $85,176 annually
Grade: GGS 9E
