Applications are invited for a Project Manager to work in neuro-oncology research in the Division of Cancer Sciences. The main purpose of this post is to manage and support Professor Petra Hamerlik’s growing portfolio of brain tumour biology studies focused on the translation into the clinic.
The post holder will be responsible for the production of deliverables and milestones, on time and within budget. The post holder will: work effectively across complex research organisations, ensure timelines for projects are met and instigate change as required; use specialized knowledge to advise on funding strategy; be able to take initiative where necessary; identify and breakdown tasks required for a multidisciplinary research group project; delegate and assign tasks to others.
The position offers an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, well-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal, communication, IT, and organisational skills to work in a multi-disciplinary research environment and build on your scientific project management skills.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate their ability to work with minimal supervision and have experience within research, preferably in physical and/or medical sciences.
