PURPOSE OF THE CONTRACT: Research activities on robust world models and image generation using efficient Machine Learning models
The successful candidate will collaborate on the research tasks of the project/agreement indicated above.
LOCATION AND WORKING HOURS: Faculty of Computer Science. Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (35 hours/week)

Bachelor’s Degree in Data Engineering and Data Science or equivalent.
Specific Requirements
- Required qualification: Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience in the Python programming language, which may be evidenced through courses, software projects on platforms such as GitHub, undergraduate dissertations or similar.
- Demonstrable experience in Machine Learning, which may be evidenced through courses, software projects on platforms such as GitHub, undergraduate dissertations or similar.

Eligibility criteria
SELECTION CRITERIA (maximum 100 points)
A. Academic record for a Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science and Engineering or a related field (max. 35 points). If the degree is in a related field, the score obtained will be multiplied by 0.5. Other qualifications will not be awarded points under this criterion.
B. Academic record for a Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence or a related field (max. 15 points). If the degree is in a related field, the score obtained will be multiplied by 0.5. Other qualifications will not be awarded points under this criterion.
C. Demonstrable knowledge in the areas related to the tasks to be performed (Machine Learning and environments such as Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow and others), which may be evidenced through software projects on platforms such as GitHub, undergraduate or master’s dissertations, or similar work: up to 15 points:
- Experience with world models: 2 points per course and 5 points for a Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis.
- Courses related to Machine Learning: 2 points per course, up to 5 points.
- Practical experience with TensorFlow/PyTorch: 2 points per course and 5 points for a Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis, up to 5 points.
- Verifiable personal repositories (GitHub or similar) involving work on world models: up to 5 points.
D. English language proficiency: maximum 10 points. From 0.5 points for levels A1 to B2. Level C1 will be awarded 3 points and level C2 4 points.
E. Other merits not considered under the above criteria (courses, awards, etc.): maximum 5 points.
- Awards received: up to 3 points, depending on their scope: regional (1 point), national (2 points) or international (3 points).
- Training at research summer schools and similar programmes: up to 3 points (1 point per summer school attended).
F. Personal interview: 20 points. The three highest-ranked candidates will be invited for a personal interview, provided that their score in the other sections is within 15% of the highest-scoring candidate.
Maximum total score: 100 points.
Minimum score to be included on the reserve list: 60 points.
