Your opportunity:
Situated in the Office of the Vice-Principal Academic & Dean (OVPAD), Academic Operations portfolio, this role reports to the Associate Director, Academic Planning & Policy and supports multiple areas in OVPAD.
This role will provide administrative, project, data and/or report support to Academic Planning & Policy, Programs and Curriculum and Academic HR for processes such as course planning, enrolment monitoring, Faculty complement planning, quality assurance reviews and course evaluations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collating and organizing data for various reports; generating reports
- Relaying and/or gathering information from senior leadership
- Executing assigned tasks according to production schedules and project plans
- Informing senior staff of impending deadlines
- Proofreading and fact-checking content
- Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
- Resolving issues within the scope of the role and escalating problems as required
- Serving as a resource to others by providing (non-supervisory) job-related guidance
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years related experience in an administrative and/or educational environment.
- Experience using institutional data dashboards and business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) to analyze enrolment, course planning and/or academic planning data.
- Experience preparing reports, presentations and briefing materials for senior academic administrators.
- Experience interpreting and applying academic policies, procedures and regulations within a post-secondary environment.
- Experience supporting academic human resources processes, including faculty appointments, tenure, promotion, leaves and/or complement planning.
- Experience supporting academic planning, policy, curriculum and/or institutional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience supporting policy review processes within a post-secondary institution.
- Experience with/knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, SharePoint etc.
