Research Analyst
Job Summary
Dr. Frump's lab is seeking a research analyst to assist with small rodent ultrasound/echocardiograph assessment of the right heart, animal colony management, and small animal surgery.
General Responsibilities
- Performs complex and intricate laboratory experiments while following research techniques and procedures.
- Develops procedures and protocols in collaboration with leadership.
- Prepares research reports or analyses for projects.
- Maintains safety records and ensures safety/compliance procedures and protocols are followed.
- Provides guidance and support to junior-level staff in laboratory operations.
- May develop, prepare, and coordinate grant applications and grant-related activities to obtain funding for research projects and related work.
Qualifications
EDUCATION Required: Bachelor's degree in related field.
Preferred: Master's degree in related field.
WORK EXPERIENCE Required: 3 years of related work experience.
Preferred: Experience with animal microsurgery and ultrasound techniques.
SKILLS Required: Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills. Maintains a high degree of professionalism. Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills. Demonstrates a high commitment to quality. Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty. Highly thorough and dependable. Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
