The Silicon Valley Guaranteed Income Project (SVGIP) is a mixed-methods community-partnered randomized controlled trial based in DHM, which aims to assess the effectiveness of unconditional cash transfers on housing, health, and well-being among families experiencing homelessness in Santa Clara County.
Overall Objective: We are seeking a diligent, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to support the SVGIP study team. Primary responsibilities will include overseeing the qualitative interview process, data management, and coding in Dedoose. Additionally, the Research Assistant will also assist with participant payment and retention efforts, survey data collection, and support participant check-ins and inquiries.
Expected Outcomes:
- Schedule and communicate interview details with participants, ensuring all necessary equipment is functional and charged.
- Review participant records for background information and prepare incentives.
- Set up and manage the interview environment, ensuring privacy and minimal interruptions.
- Conduct interviews adhering to the interview guide, including briefing participants and ensuring all key topics are covered, and take detailed notes.
- Monitor audio quality during interviews and record using audio/video devices if consented to by the participant.
- Ensure data handling and security of audio recordings, transfer files securely, and review and quality check transcriptions.
- Prepare data for analysis by adding interviewer notes and coding/tagging data in Dedoose according to research requirements.
- Support participant payment and retention efforts, including sending tailored correspondence and maintaining accurate records of communications and issues resolved.
- Assist with participant surveys, check-ins, and participant inquiries and communication.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $100,200 (Annual Rate).
