Research and Networking Support Officer

Salary from £33,558 to £35,441 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £38,541 pa inclusive of London allowance.

The Department of Mathematics is keen to appoint a proactive and enthusiastic Research and Networking Support Officer to join the small, dedicated Professional Services Team.

The postholder will take responsibility for several aspects of the administration and support of our MPhil/PhD programme and postgraduate student support, research seminars and events and, working with the Research Manager, will provide a comprehensive administrative service to the staff of the Department.

Applicants should have previous relevant administrative experience and strong IT skills, together with excellent attention to detail and the ability to organise, prioritise and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and service delivery skills, and the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with a range of colleagues, are essential. Experience of working in an academic or similar environment in an administrative capacity is essential.
