According to the Polish regulations, Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW, Institute of Civil Engineering searches for the candidate for the position of research and teaching assistant. The ideal candidate should have a doctoral degree (PhD) in the field of engineering and technology, the area of building structures design.

Skills/Qualifications
- Requirements for the Position of Assistant Professor (Adiunkt):
a) a doctoral degree (PhD) in the field of engineering and technical sciences, in the discipline of Civil Engineering, Geodesy and Transport (or a related discipline), with a specialization in the design of building structures;
b) author or co-author of at least four scholarly monographs or academic articles published in journals or by publishers included in the list applicable for the year of their publication;
c) a positive assessment by the committee responsible for teaching matters regarding the teaching activities conducted; in the case of candidates applying for employment who are not employees of SGGW, a positive assessment by the committee of a research presentation delivered at a seminar organized by the unit in which the candidate is applying for employment;
d) documented at least good command of English or another congress language, sufficient to independently write academic publications in that language and deliver presentations at academic conferences;
e) currently leads or has submitted a research project involving scientific research or development work, or the implementation of investments related to education and research activities;
f) experience gained through a research stay abroad at a research institution, or demonstrable international research activity, will be considered an additional asset;
g) professional qualifications in the construction and building specialization for structural design will be considered an additional asset;
h) proficiency in using computer software such as AutoCAD, Robot, Dlubal RFEM, or other software used in structural design.
Requirements for the Position of Assistant:
a) a Master of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering;
b) demonstrated research and teaching interests, as well as the ability to develop them;
c) documented at least good command of English or another congress language, sufficient to independently write academic publications in that language and deliver presentations at academic conferences;
d) professional qualifications in the construction and building specialization for structural design will be considered an additional asset;
e) proficiency in using computer software such as AutoCAD, Robot, Dlubal RFEM, or other software used in structural design.
Specific Requirements
The position covers three main areas: research, teaching, scientific cooperation. The candidate should also give the instructions and supervise the students’ homeworks. Minimum 240-hour contract per academic year.
