Skills/Qualifications: Study and characterization of spontaneous electric fields present in biofilms of biotechnological interest (e.g., anammox, nitrifying, electroactive biofilms, etc.). The study will be conducted through microprofiling techniques using electrochemical sensors (e.g., electrical potential, pH, O₂ sensors, etc.), analysis of the chemical composition of extracellular polymeric substances (EPS), and determination of substrate consumption and metabolite production rates in different types of biofilms.
Relevant expertise for the study includes environmental biotechnology applied to wastewater treatment, bioelectrochemistry, mass transport in biological matrices, and characterization of biofilm physiology.

Additional Information
Eligibility criteria: Master’s degree in one of the following fields: LM-6 Biology, LM-8 Industrial Biotechnology, LM-71 Industrial Chemistry and Technologies, LM-22 Chemical Engineering, LM-54 Chemistry, LM-75 Environmental and Territorial Sciences and Technologies, LM-73 Forestry and Environmental Sciences and Technologies, or LM-35 Environmental and Territorial Engineering, obtained within the last six years, as well as a suitable academic and professional background to support the research activities covered by the appointment.
