Research Assistant - AI-PROGNOSIS

About the Role

The post holder will be joining the Centre for Preventive Neurology at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London and will work within the Parkinsons disease (PD) group, whose studies focus on the clinical, genetic and biomarker aspects in people with PD and at risk of PD.

The Research Assistant will work on AI-PROGNOSIS, a project funded by EU Horizon/UKRI, aiming to advance PD diagnosis and care by developing novel, predictive AI models for personalised PD risk assessment and prognosis based on multi-source patient data and everyday digital biomarkers.

About you

Candidates must be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant medical science discipline. The ideal candidate will have a background in clinical research and be familiar with good clinical practice and the regulatory requirements of clinical research. The ideal candidate should be experienced in participant recruitment and communication and have enthusiasm to develop these skills further. Experience in Parkinson’s disease or other neurodegenerative disorders would be desirable.

The centre’s focus is on academic discipline, research, the translation of research into health strategies and their practical implementation.

The post is based in Charterhouse Square. It is full time, fixed term appointment for 12 months. The salary will be Grade 4/25 – 4/26 at £38,419 - £39,022 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
