Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant / Research Associate to join the Quantitative Proteomics Core (QPC) at the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore (CSI). The position offers the opportunity to work in a closely integrated, research-intensive environment at the interface of quantitative proteomics, cancer biology, and translational research.

The Quantitative Proteomics Core supports a broad user base at CSI through quantitative proteomics approaches to study protein expression, protein interactions, and post-translational modifications. Embedded within a vibrant cancer research environment, the Core interacts closely with basic, translational, and clinical research programs across the institute.

The successful candidate will primarily contribute to Core activities, while benefiting from close interaction with active research programs at CSI and opportunities to contribute to selected collaborative projects.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • sample processing for quantitative proteomics workflows
  • operation, maintenance, and performance monitoring of mass spectrometry instrumentation
  • development and implementation of new proteomics workflows, with a focus on clinical proteomics
  • administrative duties, including ordering and budget tracking
  • general laboratory and core organization, including compliance with safety standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences or related field; fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
  • Fluency in spoken and written English

Prior experience in mass spectrometry, proteomics workflows, or molecular biology techniques would be an advantage, but is not required.
