Research Assistant / Associate
The James Watt School of Engineering is looking for a Research Assistant / Associate to the ongoing research in optical wireless communications and sensing. The role requires expert knowledge in information theory, optimisation theory, physical layer design, machine learning, and their applications to wireless communications.
The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.
To be considered for an appointment at Grade 7, you must be able to perform the duties as listed for a Research Assistant position with a higher degree of independence, leadership, and responsibility, particularly in relation to planning, funding, collaborating and publishing research, and mentoring colleagues.
This post is full time, and has funding for up to 2 years.
