This post is full time, and has funding for up to 3 years from start date.
Relocation assistance will be provided where appropriate.
The School of Infection & Immunity is looking for a Research Assistant / Associate to work the Immunology research area under the supervision of Dr Chris Mahony (0.8) and Professor Julia Edgar (0.2) (Principal Investigators).
The applicant will make a leading contribution to a research programme focussed on unravelling the interplay between ageing fibroblasts and immune cells in immune mediated inflammatory diseases and to neuroimmunology research.
The successful candidate will have extensive skills in investigating the molecular mechanisms underpinning inflammatory diseases. They will be self-motivated in designing and executing experiments, with a proven track record in most of the following techniques: cell culture, animal work, flow cytometry, molecular cloning, confocal microscopy and bioinformatics (e.g. RNA-Seq/scRNA-Seq).
