We are seeking to recruit a Research Assistant for the Interdisciplinary Research Centre in Social and Cultural Transformations (UOC-TRÀNSIC), specifically to join the UOC's IdentiCat research group.
The purpose of the European STEP project (Sustainability Training for Events Professionals) is to develop and implement innovative training tools and resources to strengthen professional skills within the cultural and creative sector, with a particular focus on the online learning dimension and the creation of the STEP Up micro-credential.
Responsibilities
- Providing support in the management and delivery of STEP project activities, with a primary focus on developing content and resources for the STEP Up micro-credential.
- Participating in the implementation and monitoring of the online training.
- Liaising actively with the UOC team and various project partners.
- Assisting with the organisation of meetings and events.
- Collating and organising information.
- Collaborating on project monitoring, documentation, and the preparation of project deliverables.
The contract will be a 9-month fixed-term, part-time position (0.7 FTE), starting in October 2026.

Requirements
Candidate profile
- Education: An undergraduate degree or equivalent, preferably in the social sciences, humanities, culture, education, or related fields.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year's professional experience. Required skills include knowledge of managing and developing European projects (especially Erasmus+); familiarity with online learning environments and the development of training content; and proven ability in management, collating information, and coordinating with international teams.
- Specific knowledge: Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office or equivalent), collaborative working and online communication tools (Teams, SharePoint, or similar), as well as familiarity with Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs/LMS) and digital content management.
- Languages:
- Oral and written communication skills in both Catalan and Spanish.
- English language skills to at least CEFR level B2, or First Certificate equivalent.
- Soft skills: Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team; strong communication and coordination skills in international and intercultural settings; and the resourcefulness to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.
Also of interest
- Previous experience in European Erasmus+ projects (or similar) will be highly valued, particularly those linked to education, culture, and the creative industries. Furthermore, experience in e-learning, training content development, micro-credentials, and working within international teams is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the UOC's educational model.
