The College of Computing & Data Science (CCDS) invites applications for the position of Research Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Study and analyze dataflow patterns in emerging data-intensive applications.
• Design and develop parallel file systems for node-local NVMe.
• Evaluate the performance implications of alternative storage semantics.
• Contribute to research papers, technical reports, and presentations for internal reviews and external conferences or journals.

Job Requirements:

• Preferably Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines from a reputable university.
• Good knowledge in parallel and distributed computing, and algorithm design, performance analysis and optimization.
• Demonstrated capability to conduct innovative research.
• Proficiency in basics of programming languages such as C, C++ and Python.
• Ability to initiate collaboration research in multidisciplinary team.
• Independent, highly analytical, proactive and a team player
• Excellent teamwork and verbal, written communication skills
• Ability and willingness to work some flexible hours.
