Job Description
The successful candidate will work with Barbaros Oezyilmaz and Dr Toh Chee Tat on for lab support, sample preparation and characterization under a project on Unlocking Market Leadership in Semiconductors with Multilayer Amorphous Carbon as Ultralow-k Dielectric
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Direct growth of MAC on target substrates using a UV-based CVD approach.
- Electrical tests of the devices, exploration of the transfer curves of transistors with thin amorphous dielectrics
- Characterization of MAC (e.g. optical, electrical, Raman spectroscopy, Atomic Force Microscope, Scanning Electron Microscope).
- Data analysis and physical interpretation of the results.
- Manage lab safety, equipment maintenance and operations.
Qualifications
Qualifications / Discipline:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in materials science, engineering, or a related field, with a focus on thin film deposition
Skills:
Strong verbal communication skills in English, ability to solve problems and generate new ideas
Experience:
- First-hand experience with operation and maintenance of CVD reactors and vacuum systems
- Experience with electronics and the use of clean room is desirable
