Duties & Responsibilities:
The Clinical Research Assistant will provide support to Dr. Emily Rivet’s clinical and programmatic research by performing a variety of routine, non-technical duties to assist professional and technical staff in both clinical and research settings. The role involves supporting daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with established research protocols, and contributing to the overall success of ongoing studies.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all logistical aspects of the project to ensure smooth execution.
- Develop, manage, and monitor project timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
- Schedule, organize, and facilitate symposia, meetings, and related events.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, fostering clear and consistent communication.
- Track progress and provide regular updates and reports to leadership and collaborators.
- Anticipate and troubleshoot challenges to keep the project on schedule.
- Manage project-related documentation, records, and reporting requirements.
- Support budget tracking and resource allocation as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. 0-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related science preferred.
Salary Range: $40,000 - $43,500
FLSA Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Hours per Week: 40
Restricted Position: Yes

Flexible Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite
