Research Assistant (Full-Time) [contact details available in the full listing])
Responsibilities:
The appointee will assist with:
- Organising and conducting research studies involving virtual reality, immersive technologies, accessibility, and interactive media;
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Interactive Media, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, UX/UI Design, Game Design, Psychology, Computer Science, Digital Media, Cognitive Science, Communication, or a related discipline;
- Strong spoken and written English;
- Strong spoken and written Chinese;
- Excellent communication and organisational skills;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary research projects; and
- Interest in accessibility, immersive technologies, design research, virtual reality, user experience, and inclusive design.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with one or more of the following:
- Cantonese proficiency;
- Experience conducting interviews, workshops, co-design activities, focus groups, or user studies;
- Experience working with community organisations, accessibility projects, or special-needs populations;
- Experience in UX research, interaction design, service design, or human-centred design;
- Familiarity with qualitative coding, thematic analysis, or research software;
- Experience conducting literature reviews, systematic reviews, or abstract screening;
- Experience with Unity, VR/XR development, interactive media production, or digital prototyping;
- Familiarity with tools such as Figma, GitHub, Adobe Creative Suite, or related software; and
- Interest in accessibility technologies, spatial audio, immersive learning, or assistive technologies.

The initial appointment will be offered on a temporary basis or fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment is available and subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
