Cambridge Judge is situated within one of the world's most prestigious research universities, and in the heart of the Cambridge Cluster, the most successful technology entrepreneurship cluster in Europe.
We are looking for a part-time Research Assistant (1.5–3 days per week) to join the Centre for Risk Studies (CRS) at Cambridge Judge Business School, in the heart of Cambridge. The Centre aims to identify new ways to address social challenges and improve lives by leveraging the combined expertise of faculty at Cambridge Judge Business School and researchers across the University of Cambridge.
The purpose of this role is to support and maintain the Business School's reputation for excellence in research and impact, and the CRS is looking for a Research Assistant to support the Risk Centre's work in two essential ways. The first is to use expertise in international relations as part of a project to inform geopolitical risks of relevance to corporations with a global footprint. You will be expected to work on different research-related and engagement tasks, overseen by one or more members of the risk centre team depending on the topic. The second is to contribute in a timely and professional way to the administration of the Centre for Risk Studies by supporting any of its activities and (other) projects including events and meetings, communications including producing content on the centre's activities, liaising with visitors and collaborators, and so on.
You should have a master's degree in international relations including research methods and techniques in that area. You should have some exposure to commercial organisations specifically on the topic of geopolitical risk. Good time management and planning skills with a commitment to delivery are essential, as is experience in event management and general content preparation; using AI as a tool is expected. A self-motivating individual who is driven and able to demonstrate initiative will enjoy this combination of activities. It would be advantageous to have some exposure to quantitative research methods, project management and posting of content to the public domain.
