Research Assistant
Supported by the Chinese Heritage Research Grant (CHRG) with the reference no. CHRG/22/04, the Department of Journalism and Communication, Hong Kong Shue Yan University will conduct the one-year research project entitled “Our Fading Folk Games: Revitalization and Inheritance of Chinese Heritage Games in Immersive Virtual Environments”. The Department now seeks to appoint a high calibre candidate to the position of Part-time Research Assistant for the project.
Research Assistant
The major responsibilities of the appointee will be:
• Conducting literature review, data collection and data analysis;
• Liaison with participants;
• Assist in project events;
• Assist in the compilation of research reports and other forms of deliverables;
• Assist in building virtual environments;
• Compiling project final report; and
• Other research and administrative duties as assigned by the project team.
Requirements
Applicants should possess:
• A Bachelor’s degree, preferably with some research/project management experience;
• Proficiency in Unity and Blender engines;
• Good command of both written and spoken English, Chinese;
• Mature, self-motivated, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines;
• Immediate availability is highly preferred;
The appointment commences on 1st Sep 2023 to 31st Aug 2024. The remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
