Research Assistant (HSRPH/SW)
Job Description
The Programme in Health Services Research and Population Health in Duke-NUS Medical School has been a leader in the study of health systems and services for the population in Singapore and beyond. Its key goals have been to show whether services are effective, appropriate, scalable and economically sustainable. The multi-disciplinary and policy-driven research in Duke-NUS is done by actively engaging the government, regional health systems and social service organisations. Our research methods include implementation science, health economics, decision science, survey/qualitative research, quantitative medicine, epidemiology, and data science. The population health outcomes programme in Duke-NUS has established a framework for evaluating and improving healthcare delivery systems nationwide.
A Research Assistant/Research Assistant (Senior) position is currently available. The successful candidate is expected to perform a range of research activities including:
- Work with clinical/research teams to conduct data collection, data analysis, manuscript writing and grant applications.
- Support research activities relevant to the scope of the Programme.
- Manage research projects including coordination and administrative tasks.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, or a topic relevant to health services research.
- Have knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Prior experience in quantitative (e.g., SPSS, R) and/or qualitative data analysis (e.g., NVivo) will be advantageous.
- Possess strong writing and presentation skills
- Willing to learn and contribute to manuscript and grant proposal development
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary workforce
- Action-oriented, target-focused with good time-management skills
